Take New Territories
Thursday Dec 21, 2017
Thursday Dec 21, 2017
Certain seasons have come to an end in our lives. When you are facing a new season, you need to be sensitive to what is ahead of you. The admonition is that you get set to take new territories.
Message
Our anchor scripture all through October 2017 was taken from Genesis 12:1-3 (NKJV); Abraham departed to take new territories as God had spoken to him. God’s desire for us is new territories, new things. Fulfilment of destiny is not localized. This is not about changing locations. It is easy to get used to certain things you have been used to. Revelations is about what God is saying, as captured in Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) where He says, I know the thoughts... which means ‘I am always thinking about you.’ God is not just thinking as in currently planning, but He has already made every necessary plans for us to take over new territories. The NLT version refers to ‘thoughts’ as ‘plans’.
Newness can assault your mind. I remember the first time I visited Canada in 2005 and was taken to downtown Toronto at midnight to see its beauty, I remember standing on a street then and felt like a grasshopper. My question was, ‘Did this just appear or was it built?’ ‘Can someone be relevant in this place?’ I was so intimidated. However, in the month of September this year, I visited the same place and it looked so normal because that experience was no longer new to me.
What are you seeing (Genesis 13:14-15)? What you are seeing is very important to the fulfilment of your destiny. When we are talking about new territories, you need to be able to sit down and dimension. There is nothing stopping Nigerians from owning real estate in China. If you are tired of Nigeria, go to New York. That’s what the covenant is all about, it is about infiltration.
Taking new territories will require seeing and stretching. As humans, we are creatures of habit. When it comes to seeing new things, don’t be a creature of habit; don’t sink into complacency. Never get overwhelmed by where you have been, just focus on what is ahead. There are giants in every promise land but you can conquer them. Refrain from following the path of least resistance

Activating The Covenant Of Greatness
Thursday Dec 14, 2017
Thursday Dec 14, 2017
In Genesis 12:1-3, we see the word ‘great’ recurring twice in verse 2. Making Abraham’s name great speaks of God capacitating Abraham. When you talk about the name of a person, it is the essence and brand of the person. God is saying that your brand is not going to be weak but strong. By implication, if you lay your hand on something that people know you for, it is not going to be ordinary. In addition, God is putting grace on you to enjoy divine establishment, so that you will exercise dominion and take over. That was what God was telling Abraham. You see the word ‘great’ and ‘bless’ several times. God wrapped up that conversation by telling him (Abraham) that in his (Abraham’s) greatness, he shall not be moved. That is, Abraham will be given supernatural immunity and insurance.
From Isaiah 51:1-3, God is reminding you not to forget where you came from. See yourself as a part of the source (covenant). One translation says ‘I called him while he was nothing’. God was reminding us of where we came from – from nothing! In verse 3, God was talking about comforting Zion. God will comfort our waste places in Jesus name. One of the ways to activate greatness is to choose to rejoice always.
According to Galatians 3:14 (NKJV), we are Gentiles in Christ and have been grafted in as descendants of Abraham.

Greatness Curriculum

Greatness is in everyone!
In Genesis 12:1-3, God promised to bless Abraham and give him a great name which has the capacity to bless and be a blessing to countless others. When your name is known, people know you and what you stand for.
According to Galatians 3:13, although not direct (biological) descendants of Abraham, we are spiritual ones through Christ Jesus. Greatness is part of Abraham and anyone joined to or associated with him should experience greatness. Jacob and Israel were Abraham's descendants and their greatness was evident.
In Isaiah 51:1-2, Isaiah encouraged us to look at Abraham, our model for greatness. We need to think about ourselves and what we are evolving into. God wants us to picture ourselves in the light of Abraham and how he took him on the greatness journey.
The following are some big questions to ask oneself:
- What does it mean to be great?
- What is your definition of greatness?
- Do you want to be great?
God called us and the call of God on our lives is greatness. Greatness is coded into our DNA already; we just need to cooperate with God for it to manifest.
